A team of 8 designers and myself created a 48 page magazine for the UNC Charlotte Career Center. A smaller team and I created the overall concept for the Career Guide. Our design goal was to make the book engaging and easy to follow. The theme of our magazine was maps, we implemented this concept by using a 1935 map of Charlotte on the cover and side bars of the pages. We also used navigation through the book with drop pins as visual cues of different content. This magazine was made as a helpful tool for the Career Center to use to assist students in their academic and professional careers. I was in charge of making the Table of Contents, pages 4-5, and pages 44-47. I also helped take photos and edit them for the book so the navigation and drop pin would fit nicely in the composition. I searched through the UNC Charlottes Flickr page for photos that would work well with the content that we did not have access to personally photograph. Overall this project gave me a personal understanding of working on a large project with a team and having a final product that was successful with our clients.
